Govt Reaffirms Support for Business Growth and Investment: PM


Islamabad: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has reiterated the government’s commitment to providing a conducive environment for businesses and investment in the country. He conveyed this during a meeting with a delegation of Presidents of Chambers of Commerce from across the nation who visited him in Islamabad.



According to Radio Pakistan, the Prime Minister emphasized the determination of both the government and the people of Pakistan to achieve economic progress, drawing inspiration from their historical victories in Marka-e-Haq and Operation Banyanum Marsoos. He highlighted the government’s efforts in implementing policies aimed at easing the business environment to reduce operational costs and facilitate investors.



The Prime Minister informed the delegation about several initiatives undertaken to promote small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and stressed the importance of public-private partnerships for attaining economic self-reliance. He also called for the integration of modern technology in domestic industries to enhance efficiency and productivity.



Furthermore, Shehbaz Sharif assured the government’s full support to women entrepreneurs, enabling them to play a significant role in the nation’s development. On this occasion, the delegation lauded the Prime Minister and the armed forces for their historic victory in Marka-e-Haq and expressed gratitude for the economic improvements attributed to the government’s prudent policies.



The delegation remarked on the positive performance of the stock exchange over the past two years as evidence of the effectiveness of the government’s economic strategies. They pledged full support for the government’s developmental and public welfare initiatives and commended the reforms implemented in the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), offering suggestions for further enhancing business-friendliness.



In addition, the delegation presented its budget proposals for the upcoming fiscal year, to which the Prime Minister responded by instructing the Federal Finance Minister to consider these suggestions.
