PM Invites Turkish Investors for Joint Ventures in Mines, Energy, IT, and AI

Istanbul: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has invited Turkish investors for joint ventures in the fields of mines and minerals, energy, information technology, and artificial intelligence. He was addressing the Pakistan-Turkiye B2B Conference in Istanbul today, where Turkish Vice President Cevdet Yilmaz was also present, alongside a large number of Turkish investors.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Prime Minister announced the allocation of one thousand acres in a Special Economic Zone in Karachi specifically for investors from Turkiye, to be named the Recep Tayyip Erdogan Special Economic Zone. He highlighted that 60 percent of Pakistan's population consists of youth, which he described as a significant asset that can drive the country towards economic growth and socio-economic progress through initiatives led by IT and AI.

The Prime Minister also lauded Turkiye's significant progress under the leadership of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, particularly noting the transformation of its industrial sector, with the automobile industry reaching European standards.

Earlier in the conference, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Privatization Mohammad Ali briefed the participants on investment opportunities in sectors including energy distribution companies, airports, motorways, and the health and hospitality sectors. A short video was also presented to Turkish investors showcasing Pakistan's extensive potential for investment across various fields.
