Beijing: Minister for Commerce Jam Kamal Khan held a series of high-level business engagements with leading Chinese enterprises during his visit to China and invited them to invest in Pakistan across priority sectors.
According to Radio Pakistan, the meetings focused on enhancing cooperation in the textile, agriculture, mining, e-commerce, and food sectors. Discussions included the potential for Chinese investment in the Pakistani textile sector and the promotion of modern technology.
During the meetings, the Minister highlighted Pakistan's strategic geographic location and reaffirmed the government's commitment to facilitating long-term Chinese investment in productive sectors. It was agreed to promote digital trade and e-commerce cooperation between the two countries, provide better access to the Chinese market for Pakistani exporters, and increase exports of sesame, agricultural commodities, and food products.
