Visitors urged to follow traffic rules to avoid traffic congestion, road mishaps in Murree

The Rawalpindi administration has urged the visitors and tourists to strictly follow traffic rules to avoid traffic congestion and road mishaps while going to Murree and other hilly areas during the Eid holidays.

The district administration has deployed eight hundred and sixty police officers and one hundred and fifty officials of Tourism Police to facilitate the visitors and tourists.

People from across the country including twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad are visiting parks and other adjacent picnic places including Murree to enjoy pleasant weather as yesterday's rain has reduced the temperature.

Earlier, Chief Minister Punjab, Hamza Shehbaz had directed the Commissioner and Regional Police Officer Rawalpindi division to make arrangements for smooth flow of traffic for tourists visiting Murree and other tourist resorts.

The Chief Minister also ordered the concerned officers to take necessary steps for controlling traffic mess being reported in different points leading towards Hilly areas of Murree.

A large number of tourists are travelling towards Murree and faced multiple issues on roads due to traffic jam.
