Skill-based education imperative for fast-paced development of country: Shafqat

Minister for Federal Education and Professional Training Shafqat Mahmood says skill-based education is imperative to achieve the goals of country's fast-paced development.

Addressing the ceremony of Kamyab Jawan Sports Drive in Gujranwala on Saturday, he said skilled youth can play a vital role in the country's progress and prosperity.

He said the government is taking effective steps to impart skill-based education to people in the best interest of the country.

Speaking on the occasion, Minister for Planning, Development and Special Initiatives Asad Umar said Kamyab Jawan Sports Drive will prove to be a milestone for promotion of sports in the country. He said the Pakistani youth is not less than anyone in any field in terms of their capabilities.

On his part, Special Assistant on Youth Affairs Usman Dar said the Kamyab Jawan program is empowering people through skill development.

He said we are committed to provide the youth a platform, where they could avail opportunities to excel in their lives.

He said the scope of Kamyab Jawan Sports Drive will be expanded throughout the country to promote sports.
