Results have started pouring in after the conclusion of bye-election held on 20-seats of Punjab Assembly.

According to unofficial results received so far, PTI has won two seats. Makhdoom Zain Hussain Qureshi of PTI won the election from PP217 Multan by securing 47349 votes. Muhammad Salman PML-N stood second with 40,425 votes.

Mian Muhammad Akram Usman of PTI clinched the seat of PP-158 Lahore with 37463 votes, whilst PML-N candidate Rana Ahsan stood second with 31906 votes.

Meanwhile, in a statement Election Commission of Pakistan has commended the role played by Pakistan Army, Rangers, Punjab Police and FC for a peaceful and transparent conduct of by-poll in Punjab.
