President Dr. Arif Alvi has emphasized the role of youth in contributing to the country’s economic growth.

Addressing the 5th Convocation of Baltistan University in Skardu on Tuesday, he said education should bring humbleness, respect, compassion and tolerance among the learners.

He expressed that education should enable the youth to turn obstacles and challenges into opportunities.

The President also emphasized about importance of technical skills in education and said that universities can play a role in equipping students to meet the challenges of the new era.

Earlier, 110 students were awarded degrees and some students were awarded medals in the convocation.
