PM announces Rs10b grant for calamity hit Balochistan

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has expressed gratitude to all friendly countries for providing aid to help flood affected people in Pakistan.

Talking to media in Jafarabad district of Balochistan on Sunday, he said relief goods from the UAE, Turkiye and other friendly countries will reach the country soon.

Appreciating the efforts of Balochistan government for working tirelessly to rescue affected people, the Prime Minister said we are utilizing our all-out resources for helping the people.

He also appreciated the role of Armed forces in rescue and relief operations. The Prime Minister said he has contacted all Services Chiefs to discuss the entire situation of floods and related relief activities.

He said after reviewing the whole situation, a meeting of the cabinet will decide short, medium and long term plans for rehabilitation of flood affected people.

Shehbaz Sharif said he will not rest until all flood affected people get back to their homes safely.

The Prime Minister also announced a grant of ten billion rupees for Balochistan government for ongoing rescue and relief operations.
