Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal Calls on ADB to Enhance Pakistan’s Judicial Information System.


Islamabad: Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal has urged the Asian Development Bank to develop a judicial information system for Pakistan. He made this appeal during a meeting with a delegation from the Asian Development Bank Pakistan Mission, led by Senior Director Tariq Niazi, in Islamabad today.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Minister recommended the establishment of a comprehensive police information system to integrate all 1,500 police stations across the country. This system would provide detailed information about each station’s jurisdiction and help streamline operations. Additionally, the Minister emphasized the importance of utilizing technology to expose discrepancies and eliminate human manipulation.

Furthermore, Ahsan Iqbal urged the ADB to increase the concessional financing limit for Pakistan, highlighting the severe economic repercussions of climate change. He also identified export expansion as a significant challenge for Pakistan’s economy and sought the ADB’s assistance in creating programs t
o drive export growth.
