PDMA Punjab completes rescue work in flood-hit areas of province

Provincial Disaster Management Authority Punjab has completed rescue work in flood hit areas of province especially in the worst hit Rajanpur and DG Khan Districts and the relief and damage assessment process will begin from Monday.

Talking to our Lahore correspondent, Spokesman of PDMA, Muhammad Tasawur said a total of 80,000 flood affectees were rescued while medical facilities were provided to more than 200,000 affectees in the flood hit areas of province.

He said Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Parvez Elahi has been personally monitoring the rescue activities in all flood hit areas from day one.

He appealed to public especially philanthropists to deposit maximum possible donations in Chief Minister’s Relief Fund.
