Pakistan’s Delegation Attends Ceremony Honoring Khamenei in Tehran: Iran Envoy Highlights Bilateral Ties

Tehran: Ambassador of Iran, Dr. Reza Amiri Moghadam, has emphasized the significance of a high-ranking Pakistani delegation's participation in a ceremony in Tehran to honor Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei. The envoy stated that this participation is a testament to the enduring friendship, mutual respect, and strong bonds between Iran and Pakistan.

According to Radio Pakistan, the ambassador expressed his gratitude through a post on X, extending appreciation to Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar, Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Chairman Senate Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani, Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, federal ministers, as well as religious scholars, political figures, and cultural personalities for their presence at this ceremonial occasion. The presence of such a diverse group of Pakistani leaders and figures was noted as a significant gesture of solidarity with Iran.

The Iranian Ambassador remarked that this event symbolizes the depth of historic ties and shared values that continue to unite Iran and Pakistan. He highlighted that these connections have withstood the challenges and celebrated the successes throughout their shared history.
