Pakistan and Ethiopia have agreed to launch the Green Legacy Initiative of Ethiopian Prime Minister in the major cities of Pakistan. This was agreed upon in a meeting between Coordinator to the Prime Minister on Climate Change Romina Khurshid Alam and Ethiopian Ambassador to Pakistan Jemal Beker Abdula in Islamabad. Romina Khurshid Alam said that the government of Pakistan is looking forward to working with Ethiopia to deal with climate change. Speaking on the occasion Ambassador stressed the need for enhanced collaboration between the two countries to address climate issues through skills, technology, information and knowledge sharing. He said the government of Ethiopia stands ready to work together with the Pakistani government in addressing climate-related issues such as floods and food insecurity. The Envoy said that Ethiopia would extend all-out support to Pakistan on climate mitigation through technological transfer and experience sharing. Source: Radio Pakistan
