Pakistan Condemns Houthi Militia’s Attacks on Saudi Arabian Cities

Islamabad: Pakistan strongly condemned the terrorist attacks launched by the Houthi militia targeting civilian and economic sites in the Saudi cities of Abha, Khamis Mushait, Jazan, and Najran. The Pakistani Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in a statement yesterday, affirmed that these attacks constitute a blatant violation of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, as well as a serious threat to the security and stability of the entire region. The ministry emphasized that such actions undermine efforts to achieve a peaceful and lasting settlement to the conflict in Yemen.

According to Union of OIC News Agencies, the Pakistani Foreign Ministry reiterated Pakistan's firm position of support for the Kingdom's sovereignty, security, and prosperity, expressing full solidarity with the leadership, government, and people of Saudi Arabia. The ministry extended sincere wishes for a speedy and full recovery for all those injured in the attacks. The statement clarified that, in accordance with the UN Charter and international law, Pakistan fully supports Saudi Arabia's legitimate right to take all necessary measures to defend its territory, protect its citizens and residents, and safeguard its national assets against any threat. The Pakistani Foreign Ministry stressed that Pakistan continues to exert all possible efforts to achieve lasting peace and stability in the region.
