Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari has affirmed that Pakistan remains fully committed to defending its maritime frontiers and safeguarding national interests. In a statement, he expressed his happiness over the induction of PNS Khaibar into the Pakistan Navy's fleet.

According to Radio Pakistan, the President described the induction of PNS Khaibar as a reflection of the continuous improvement in the Navy's professional capabilities and preparedness. He emphasized that the Pakistan Navy has consistently fulfilled its responsibilities in accordance with national security requirements, particularly during "Marka-e-Haq."

Highlighting the changing regional context, Asif Ali Zardari emphasized that a strong naval force remains a key pillar in protecting Pakistan's sovereignty.
