Pakistan Calls for End to Illegal Occupation of Arab Lands in Middle East

Pakistan: Pakistan has called for an end to the illegal occupation of Arab lands, respect for ceasefires, and the unimpeded flow of humanitarian assistance in the Middle East.

According to Radio Pakistan, the statement was made by the Permanent Representative of Pakistan to the UN, Ambassador Asim Iftikhar Ahmad, during an open debate on advancing political solutions in the Middle East held in New York.

The Ambassador emphasized Pakistan's support for the sovereignty, territorial integrity, political independence, and security of all brotherly countries in the Middle East. Furthermore, he expressed Pakistan's continued and unwavering support and complete solidarity with the fraternal GCC countries during these challenging times.

Ambassador Asim Iftikhar also highlighted Pakistan's active engagement in efforts to advance the Gaza Peace Plan and facilitate dialogue and mediation aimed at reducing tensions between the U.S. and Iran.
