Islamabad: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has expressed the government’s dedication to elevating Pakistan’s status as a leading exporter on the international stage. During a meeting with British economist Professor Dr. Stefan Dercon in Islamabad, the Prime Minister emphasized the importance of implementing economic reforms to restore the demand for Pakistani goods worldwide.
According to Radio Pakistan, Prime Minister Sharif highlighted the historical demand for Pakistani products and stressed the necessity of returning to that prominent position through strategic economic changes. He underscored the government’s commitment to making Pakistan a key player in the global export market.
Professor Dr. Stefan Dercon commended the government’s economic policies and reforms. He also noted the positive trend of foreign investment in Pakistan and expressed appreciation for the tariff rationalization policy, which plays a crucial role in enhancing the country’s economic landscape.
