OIC chief offers condolences to Indonesian president on tsunami victims

Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Dr. Yousef Al-Othaimeen sent a message to Joko Widodo, president of Indonesia, in which he extended his condolences to the president and, through him, to the people of Indonesia on the lives lost as a result of the Tsunami which hit the city of Palau causing many casualties.

The secretary general sent a similar message to Retno L. P. Marsudi, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Indonesia, and assured her of the OIC's firm support and unwavering stand beside the Republic of Indonesia in the face of this natural disaster that has left in its wake such losses in terms of property and human lives.

Al-Othaimeen also expressed his profound condolences to the families of the victims and his best wishes of prompt recovery to the injured.
