Netanyahu sworn in as Isarel’s Prime Minister

Benjamin Netanyahu has been sworn in as Isarel’s Prime Minister as a result of a coalition government.

He took oath of the office after Israel’s 120 member parliament passed a vote of confidence in favour of the new government.

Netanyahu is the longest-tenured prime minister in Israel’s history, having served for a total of over 15 years.

The new cabinet has vowed to expand illegal settlements in occupied West Bank and pursue anti-Palestinian policies thus sparking fears among Palestinians as well as leftist Israelis who see the country becoming a full-fledged fascist state.
