Minister Chaudhary Open to Renewed Negotiations with Opposition

Islamabad:Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhary has expressed willingness to resume negotiations with the opposition if certain conditions are met.

According to Radio Pakistan, Chaudhary stated that talks could proceed if the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) halts its Long March and the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government fully implements the National Action Plan against terrorism.

He mentioned during a news conference that while constitutional options are being considered, the government remains committed to negotiations as its primary approach. Chaudhary expressed disappointment that the opposition had previously abandoned discussions, despite reaching a consensus on issues concerning terrorism. He emphasized that the ruling coalition had engaged in earlier talks with sincere intentions.
