Islamabad: The Foreign Minister of Pakistan today held a bilateral meeting with the Foreign Minister of Singapore K. Shanmugan on the sidelines of the 66thSession of the United Nations General Assembly, says a press release received here today from New York.
Both leaders discussed ways to enhance cooperation between the two countries especially in areas of trade and commerce. The two sides agreed to continue their constructive engagement on the issue of Free Trade Agreement (FTA). They also agreed to enhance interaction at the highest political level and to engage more proactively in all areas of mutual interest.
The Foreign Minister highlighted the sacrifices made by Pakistan in the struggle against extremism and terrorism and stressed the need for a sense of common ownership of these challenges by the international community.
