Mainly very hot, dry weather expected in most plain areas of country

Mainly very hot and dry weather is expected in most plain areas of the country during next twelve hours.

However, gusty winds are expected in central and southern Punjab and lower Khyber Pakhtunkhwa with chances of light rain at few places in Gilgit-Baltistan and upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during the period.

Temperature of some major cities recorded this morning:

Islamabad twenty-four degree centigrade, Lahore thirty-three, Karachi twenty-nine, Peshawar twenty-seven, Quetta fifteen, Gilgit seventeen, Murree twenty-two and Muzaffarabad twenty-three degree centigrade.

According to Met Office forecast for Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, hot and dry weather with dust raising winds is expected in Srinagar, very hot and dry in Jammu, partly cloudy/windy in Pulwama, Anantnag, Baramulla and Shopian, while partly cloudy weather is expected in Leh.

Temperature recorded this morning:

Srinagar, Pulwama, Anantnag and Baramulla sixteen degree centigrade, Jammu twenty-seven, Leh eight and Shopian fifteen degree centigrade.
