LPG production and distribution policy gets approval

Karachi: The Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) has approved “The LPG production and distribution policy 2011” and has also agreed to give operational and maintenance of four power generation companies to private O&M contractors for a tenure of 10 years.

According to Alfalah Securities, the ECC has approved the LPG production and distribution policy 2011 in order to connect local LPG producer’s prices with the C&F Saudi Aramco Contract Price which would enable the government to collect price differentials in the form of petroleum levy. The local producer’s prices would rise from USD 100 to USD 120 per ton and the differential being collected by the government would generate additional revenue of PkR 3 bn.
