Interior Minister urges CJP to take notice of alleged leaked audio call of Pervaiz Elahi

Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah has appealed Chief Justice of Pakistan Umar Ata Bandial to take notice of alleged leaked audio phone call of former Punjab Chief Minister Pervaiz Elahi aimed at maligning the judiciary.

Talking to media in Islamabad on Thursday evening, he said the Federal Investigation Agency has been tasked to seek guidance and input from the Ministry of Law whether a case can be registered against Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi for prima facie maligning the judiciary. He said Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi should be investigated if a forensic analysis proves his voice.

Rana Sanaullah said today Imran Khan did not appear before the Lahore High Court, despite repeated orders by the court. He said it seems that Imran Khan and his cronies are trying to dictate courts, which is unfortunate and unacceptable in any society.
