Federal Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah today visited the under-construction Diamer Bhasha Dam and reviewed the overall security measures at the site.

Chairman WAPDA and National Coordinator of NACTA also accompanied him.

Speaking on the occasion, he said Diamer Bhasha Dam is an important project for national development. He emphasized the importance of implementation of a comprehensive and integrated security plan in the project area.

The minister was briefed that completion of Diamer Bhasha Dam is scheduled in 2029 and it will have a water storage capacity of 8.1 million acre feet.
