Minister for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb has expressed grief over the sad demise of veteran actor Tanvir Jamal.

In a tweet, she said Tanvir Jamal had been a leading personality of Pakistan Television and remained attached with PTV for 35 years.

She said the veteran actor proved his mettle in various PTV dramas and his services for the drama industry will always be remembered.

The Minister prayed the Allah Almighty to grant the departed soul higher ranks in heaven.

Marriyum Aurangzeb, in another tweet, also expressed grief over the death of veteran singer Rubina Qureshi, who is also a wife of leading actor Mustafa Qureshi.

The Minister said services of the veteran singer in the field of music will be remembered for long. She prayed the Almighty Allah to rest the departed soul in peace and grant courage to the bereaved family.
