India Always Used Terrorism as Pretext to Take Unilateral, Illegal Actions: DPM

Islamabad: Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar stated that India has consistently used terrorism as a pretext to undertake unilateral and illegal actions. He was speaking at the All Pakistan Chambers of Commerce Presidents Conference in Islamabad.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Deputy Prime Minister highlighted that India altered the special status of the disputed territory of Jammu and Kashmir in 2019, using the Pulwama incident as a justification. He further noted that India recently used the Pehalgam incident as a reason to unilaterally and illegally suspend the Indus Waters Treaty.

Ishaq Dar emphasized that Pakistan’s response to what he described as India’s unprovoked aggression has demonstrated to the world that while Pakistanis are peace-loving, this should not be mistaken for weakness.
