Govt has serious plans to uplift standard of sports in Pakistan: PM

Prime Minister Imran Khan says government has very serious plans to uplift the standard of sports in Pakistan.

Talking to Member Punjab Football Council Malik Amir Dogar in Islamabad Wednesday, he said an effective policy will be evolved to ensure a secured future for our players, coaches and officials.

The Prime Minister said that football stadiums of international standard will be constructed in all the major cities of Pakistan. He stressed the need to set up football academies all over Pakistan and launch an extensive grassroots development and grooming program.

The Prime Minister also approved hiring of international football coaches to impart training to the young talent all over Pakistan.

Imran Khan asserted that all sports in Pakistan will soon have qualified professionals and no more favouritism or nepotism will be acceptable.
