Lahore: Acting President Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani has emphasized the need for sustained efforts to ensure global peace. Addressing a ceremony in Lahore today, Yousuf Raza Gilani stressed the need to address emerging global challenges, including technological advancement and climate change, by adapting to evolving global realities.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Acting President highlighted Pakistan's role in promoting peace and dialogue internationally. He mentioned Pakistan's proactive diplomacy aimed at promoting regional stability, with initiatives such as reducing tensions and building trust between Iran and the United States.

Discussing the Pahalgam false flag operation, Yousuf Raza Gilani stated that Pakistan is a responsible nuclear state. Despite India's attack and its unilateral revocation of the Indus Waters Treaty, Pakistan acted strictly in self-defense as a nuclear state.
