Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has said Pakistan stands ready to build bridges and partnerships to foster the agenda of peace for the entire world. He was addressing an Iftaar dinner, hosted in the honour of Islamabad-based diplomatic community in Islamabad, today. The Minister said this week's terror attacks in Moscow and Besham remind us that terrorism is a collective and persistent threat for everyone across the globe. Therefore, our war against terrorism will not end till peace wins. He said our collective dream of peace and prosperity cannot be realized without settlement of outstanding regional disputes like Palestine and Kashmir. Ishaq Dar emphasized that time has come for an urgent and unconditional ceasefire in Gaza, as called for by the United Nation Security Council. He said Pakistan as a candidate for non-permanent seat of the UN Security Council for the years 2025 and 2026, is extremely grateful to the countries that have already expressed their support and seeks the support of others as well. The Minister reaffirmed that during its term at the Council, Pakistan will promote international peace and security and help revitalize the Council to address contemporary challenges. He said Pakistan's foreign policy is deeply rooted in the principles of peace, equality, and justice and it will continue to champion multilateralism and mutual prosperity.
