Finance Minister lauds ADB for being Pakistan’s development

A delegation of Asian Development Bank led by its Country Director Yong Ye called on Minister for Finance Miftah Ismail in Islamabad on Thursday.

The delegation briefed the Finance Minister about various aspects of a special program titled 'Building Resilience with Active Countercyclical Expenditures' and other initiatives undertaken to mitigate the sufferings of the people affected by floods in Pakistan.

Speaking on the occasion, the Finance Minister appreciated the ADB for being a development partner of Pakistan and valued the support of ADB for carrying out development-oriented projects in the country.

The Finance Minister said the present government is keenly working on all inclusive and sustainable development programs through structural reforms.

He apprised the ADB delegation of devastation caused by floods in the country and expressed gratitude to the delegation for their continuous support in this regard.
