ECP’s Election Management System to help finalizing polls results: Spokesperson

Spokesperson Election Commission of Pakistan Nighat Siddique has said ECP's technology based Election Management System will help finalizing polls results. Participating in the Marathon Transmission of Radio Pakistan's News and Current Affairs Channel regarding the General Elections 2024 in Islamabad today, she said Presiding Officers and election staff are doing their duties in the best manner. Nighat Siddique said the provincial and district monitoring teams, in close liaison with the Central Monitoring System, are continuously assessing the electoral process. The spokesperson said the complaints redressal ratio is around 90 percent. She said international observers from Commonwealth, European Union and other countries are visiting different polling stations to review the election process. She said overall voters turn out is satisfactory. Nighat Siddique said a large number of women voters is also arriving at the polling stations to fulfill their national responsibility of casting their votes. She as ked voters to ensure that signature and stamp of the Assistant Presiding Officer are affixed on the back side of Ballot Papers. The spokesperson said green ballot paper is for the National Assembly and will be placed in the green box while the white one is for the provincial assembly, which be put in the white box. The spokesperson said voters present inside the premises of polling stations would be allowed to cast their votes even after 5:00 pm. Source: Radio Pakistan
