ECNEC approves construction of Hyderabad-Sukkur Motorway, other infrastructure projects

Executive Committee of the National Economic Council met in Islamabad with Minister for Finance Miftah Ismail in the chair.

The meeting approved project on construction of Hyderabad-Sukkur Motorway on Built Operate Transfer basis, with revised cost of 308 million rupees.

The project will be executed by National Highway Authority and envisages construction of 306 kilometer long, 06-lane wide, divided fenced between Hyderabad and Sukkur.

The ECNEC also approved construction of 4 lane Lahore-Sialkot Motorway link Highway connecting the Motorway to Narang Mandi and Kartarpur Narowal including Narowal Eastern Bypass at a cost of 1,738 million rupees.

The project will be completed in three years.

ECNEC also approved project on construction of 6 lane Northern section of Ring Road from Warsak Road to Nasir Bagh Road in Peshawar at a cost of 1,649 million rupees, which will be fully funded and executed by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government.

The 8.7 kilomters long project will be completed in three years.
