New York:Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar has expressed his concerns regarding ongoing violations at Al-Aqsa Mosque/Al-Haram Al-Sharif and efforts to change the historical and legal status quo in Occupied East Jerusalem. According to Radio Pakistan, Dar conveyed these sentiments during the Joint Arab League-Group of Four Islamic Countries' Ministerial Meeting on Jerusalem held in New York. He stressed Pakistan's continuous support for the Hashemite Custodianship over Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem. Additionally, Dar reaffirmed Pakistan's commitment to the Palestinian people's right to self-determination and the establishment of an independent, sovereign, and contiguous State of Palestine, with pre-1967 borders and Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital. On the sidelines of the 81st United Nations General Assembly in New York, Deputy Prime Minister Dar also engaged in a friendly dialogue with Jordan's Deputy Prime Minister Ayman Safadi. The two discussed mutual interests and regional developments, e mphasizing their dedication to enhancing Pakistan-Jordan relations.
