Punjab Labour Minister Raja Ashfaq Sarwar has said that a comprehensive and solid policy is being followed for the purchase of wheat in transparent manner by providing all out facilities to the wheat growers.
He stated this during his visit at wheat procurement center in Faisalabad.
The Minister inspected arrangements at the center and reviewed the bardana issuance process.
He also met with the farmers on the spot and said the Punjab government had taken a number of measures for the welfare and betterment of the farmers.
He said that target had been fixed by the Punjab government to purchase 4 million metric ton wheat.
He assured the farmers that their rights would be protected and no one would be allowed to exploit the farmers during wheat procurement campaign.
The Minister said that all administrative machinery had been mobilized to supervise the wheat procurement campaign for maintaining the entire arrangements at the centers for the convenience of wheat growers
