Cold, dry weather expected in most plain areas of country

Mainly cold and dry weather is expected in most plain areas of the country, while very cold in northern parts and north Baluchistan during the next twelve hours. Dense fog and smog is likely to persist in plain areas of Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and upper Sindh. Frost is likely to occur at few places in Kashmir and Pothohar region during morning hours. Temperature of major cities recorded this morning: Islamabad and Peshawar two degree centigrade, Lahore seven, Karachi twelve, Quetta zero, Gilgit minus-five, Murree one and Muzafarabad three degree centigrade. According to weather forecast for Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, very cold and dry weather is expected in Srinagar, Pulwama, Anantnag, Shopian, Leh and Baramula while cold and dense fog in Jammu.
