Meanwhile, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference leadership has said the present dispensation in India led by Narendra Modi is snatching properties and lands from locals as part of ethnic cleansing of Muslims and Dalits particularly in Jammu region.

APHC leaders Ghulam Muhammad Khan Sopori, Zamruda Habib, Yasmeen Raja, Fahrida Bahenji, Dr Musaib and Advocate Davinder Singh Behl in their statements in Srinagar and Jammu termed the drive as a big conspiracy of the Hindutva regime to uproot the two communities from the region.

Meanwhile, widespread protests were held in Jammu and parts of Kashmir valley against the ethnic eviction of the Kashmiris from their lands in the name of encroachment campaign.
