Ahsan Iqbal Unveils TECHATHON 1.0, First National AI Competition

Islamabad: Minister for Planning Ahsan Iqbal launched the country's first national AI applications competition, "TECHATHON 1.0," in Islamabad today. The event marks a significant step in engaging the nation's youth in the global AI revolution.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Minister highlighted that TECHATHON 1.0 serves as a national call to action. It is designed to challenge, inspire, and mobilize young Pakistanis, including students, developers, thinkers, and entrepreneurs, to leverage Artificial Intelligence in addressing real-world problems.

Ahsan Iqbal emphasized that Pakistan will actively participate in the AI revolution, becoming drivers, shapers, and contributors to the global AI economy. The initiative aims to discover high-potential AI solutions across various sectors such as agriculture, health, education, climate, and public service delivery.

The Minister also shared that TECHATHON 1.0 is part of a broader vision, "Uraan Pakistan," which is the national transformation blueprint aimed at achieving a one trillion dollar economy by 2035.
