Pakistan and Belarus Seek to Enhance Defence Cooperation

Rawalpindi:Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Pakistan's Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces, has expressed the country's intention to strengthen defence and security ties with Belarus.

According to Radio Pakistan, this intention was reiterated during a meeting with a high-level Belarusian delegation led by Lieutenant General Aleksandr Volfovich, State Secretary of the Security Council, who visited Rawalpindi.

The discussions between both parties focused on the evolving regional and global security situation, mutual interests, and the current extent of bilateral defence cooperation. The Belarusian official expressed a mutual interest in strengthening defence and security cooperation and acknowledged Pakistan's efforts in promoting regional peace and stability.
