Rawalpindi:Speaker of the People's Majlis of the Maldives, Abdul Raheem Abdullah, met with Pakistan's Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, in Rawalpindi.

According to Radio Pakistan, the discussion focused on matters of mutual interest, including regional security and bilateral cooperation.

Field Marshal Munir emphasized the strong ties between Pakistan and the Maldives, highlighting the importance Pakistan places on these brotherly relations. He reaffirmed Pakistan's commitment to further strengthening these ties for the mutual benefit of both nations.

Abdul Raheem Abdullah praised Pakistan's role in promoting regional peace and stability and conveyed his desire to deepen bilateral engagement and expand cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
