Islamabad: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has congratulated the nation on the upgradation of Pakistan's sovereign credit rating from Caa1 to B3 by Moody's.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Prime Minister welcomed the upgradation, emphasizing the significance of this achievement. He commended the efforts of the government's economic team, acknowledging the contributions of Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Army Chief and Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb, and all other concerned ministers and officials.

Shehbaz Sharif noted that the improvement in Pakistan's credit rating is indicative of global confidence in the government's economic policies and reforms. He expressed that such recognition from international financial institutions and rating agencies is a positive development for the country.

The Prime Minister highlighted that Pakistan's economy is moving towards stability, with the upgradation being a clear testament to this progress. He mentioned that the government has implemented effective measures to stabilize the economy and enhance the external sector.

He further stated that the growing confidence of international institutions in Pakistan is a result of the government's consistent efforts and reforms aimed at achieving economic stability. Shehbaz Sharif reiterated the government's commitment to accelerating reforms to build a strong, self-reliant, and sustainable economy in Pakistan.
