Govt’s Comprehensive Measures to Combat Terrorism and Misinformation Highlighted by Minister Tarar

Islamabad: Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar has announced that the government is implementing comprehensive strategies to tackle terrorism, misinformation, and propaganda. Speaking at a workshop in Islamabad, he emphasized the significant strides made over the past two and a half years under the National Action Plan in combating terrorism.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Minister highlighted the joint efforts by the federal and provincial governments alongside the Pakistan Army, which have successfully eradicated terrorism from several regions in the country. He underscored the necessity of political consensus to effectively implement major national policies, suggesting that unity among political entities is crucial for successful outcomes.

Minister Tarar also pointed out the potential foreign involvement in terrorism activities and underscored the critical need for rigorous surveillance and robust counter-terrorism strategies. He stressed that addressing these challenges requires a coordinated approach to ensure the safety and stability of the nation.
