Islamabad: Chairman Senate Syed Yousaf Raza Gillani has stressed the need for collective efforts to strengthen sports infrastructure and provide greater opportunities for Pakistani athletes to excel at regional and international levels. He was speaking with Ather Zahid, an internationally acclaimed Pakistani professional wrestler, during a meeting in Islamabad. Zahid, who is the first Saudi-born Pakistani wrestler to represent Pakistan on the international stage, was commended for his achievements. According to Radio Pakistan, the Chairman Senate congratulated Ather Zahid on his outstanding achievements and wished him continued success. Syed Yousaf Raza Gillani highlighted the role of athletes as ambassadors, noting that they inspire people and enhance the country's image on the global stage.
