Islamabad: The Economic Coordination Committee of the Cabinet has allowed the auction of over eight thousand metric tons of flood-damaged wheat. The ECC, which met in Islamabad today with Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb in the chair, approved the auction of the flood-damaged PASSCO wheat through an open, transparent, and competitive bidding process.
According to Radio Pakistan, the Committee also approved a 4.188 billion rupees severance package for PASSCO employees. This package is designated for the payment of compensation and terminal benefits to eligible employees as part of the orderly winding-up of the Corporation.
