KP Governor Reiterates Pakistan’s Desire for Peace Amid Regional Tensions

Islamabad: Iran has once again acknowledged and appreciated Pakistan's positive role during the recent war in the region. The acknowledgment was made by Iranian Ambassador to Pakistan Dr. Reza Amiri Moghadam during a meeting with Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi in Islamabad today. The Governor emphasized the urgent need to end the Iran-US war to achieve lasting peace across the region, reiterating Pakistan's commitment to fostering peace and its readiness to actively work towards it.

According to Radio Pakistan, Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa highlighted the significant potential for economic development in the province through cooperation with Iran. He stressed the importance of mutual exchanges and visits between Khyber Pakhtunkhwa's trade and parliamentary delegations and their counterparts in Iran, which could pave the way for enhanced bilateral relations.

During the meeting, Iranian Ambassador Dr. Reza Amiri Moghadam expressed optimism about the future, stating that Iran's trade with Pakistan, particularly in oil and other goods, is expected to increase. He also pointed out that Israel remains the biggest obstacle in the path to achieving peace, highlighting the complexities of the geopolitical landscape in the region.
