President and PM Emphasize Sacrifice and Solidarity in Eid-ul-Azha Messages

Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif have conveyed their Eid-ul-Azha greetings to the people of Pakistan and the global Muslim community. In their messages, they underscored the holiday's significance, reflecting on the themes of obedience, patience, and sacrifice as exemplified by Hazrat Ibrahim (AS) and Hazrat Ismail (AS).

According to Radio Pakistan, the President remarked on the importance of embodying the spirit of sacrifice by caring for others, emphasizing the inclusion of underprivileged groups in the Eid celebrations. He urged attention towards those facing hardships silently, such as the needy, orphans, widows, laborers, and persons with disabilities.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif highlighted the essential nature of sacrifice, unity, and solidarity for national progress and prosperity. He expressed solidarity with the oppressed people in Palestine and Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, praying for peace and harmony across the world.

Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar also extended his Eid-ul-Azha wishes to Muslims globally. Meanwhile, high-ranking military officials, including Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defense Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Naval Chief Admiral Naveed Ashraf, and Air Chief Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, sent their felicitations to the nation.

According to ISPR, the Armed Forces of Pakistan offered prayers for the nation's peace, prosperity, and unity, honoring the resilience of the Pakistani people and the sacrifices made by martyrs, Armed Forces, Law Enforcement Agencies, and citizens in defense of the country.
