According to Radio Pakistan, the national anthems of Pakistan and China were played before the Prime Minister laid the wreath featuring a floral arrangement in the shape of Pakistan's national flag. Tiananmen Square, located in the heart of Beijing, holds immense historical and political significance as the site where Chairman Mao Zedong proclaimed the founding of the People's Republic of China on October 1, 1949.

The monument commemorates the revolutionary martyrs, who sacrificed their lives for China's independence and liberation. The Prime Minister is on a four-day official visit to China, along with a high-level delegation, to meet the country's leadership and further strengthen bilateral cooperation and discuss regional and international issues of mutual interest.
