Kathmandu: A record 274 climbers have successfully scaled Mount Everest in a single day, marking the highest number ever to reach the world's tallest peak from the Nepali side. According to Radio Pakistan, the 8,849-metre-high Mount Everest straddles the border between Nepal and the Tibet region of China and can be climbed from both sides.
