Lahore: Punjab Cabinet has approved the establishment of the Punjab General Insurance Company to provide insurance services across the province. The decision was made at a provincial cabinet meeting held in Lahore, chaired by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif.
According to Radio Pakistan, the cabinet also sanctioned the launch of the "Apna Khet, Apna Rozgar" scheme. This initiative aims to assist the people of Cholistan and Katcha areas by enabling them to commence farming and livelihood activities on favorable terms. The Chief Minister emphasized that the program should be monitored through a robust digital system to ensure complete transparency and uphold merit in its implementation.
