Ceremony Held at Pakistan Embassy Washington to Mark Anniversary of Makra-e-Haq Victory

Washington: A breathtaking ceremony in connection with the completion of one year of the historic victory in Makra-e-Haq was held at the Embassy of Pakistan in Washington. A large number of Pakistani community members, filled with the passion of love for the motherland and the spirit of being Pakistani, participated in the ceremony. Enthusiastic slogans of 'Pakistan Hamesha Zindabad' and national songs revived the spirit of "Operation Bunyan um Marsoos". The participants reiterated their strong resolve not to hesitate from rendering any sacrifice for the protection, integrity, and national dignity of their beloved motherland.

According to Radio Pakistan, a heartfelt tribute was paid to the Armed Forces of Pakistan for safeguarding the country's integrity and proving to be an iron wall against the enemy. The participants also offered a salute to the professional skills, spirit, and patriotism of the Pakistan Army, Pakistan Air Force, and Pakistan Navy. They lauded the sagacity and prudence of the civil and military leadership of Pakistan for providing effective and unforgettable leadership against the threat facing the country and unjustified Indian aggression.

Messages from the President and Prime Minister of Pakistan were read out at the ceremony, while video messages from the Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign Minister, and Defense Minister were screened. They reiterated the resolve not to hesitate from rendering any sacrifice for the beloved motherland. Defense Attach© Brigadier Irfan Ali conveyed the message of Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir to the participants.

Addressing the ceremony, Pakistan Ambassador to the United States, Rizwan Saeed Sheikh, emphasized that during the Marka-e-Haq, Pakistani forces, civil and military leadership, and the entire nation proved the greatness of Pakistan's geographical and territorial importance, integrity, and national pride. He stated that India paid a heavy price for miscalculating Pakistan's desire for peace as weakness and expressed gratitude to President Trump for playing a positive role in the ceasefire between the two nuclear powers.

Ambassador Rizwan Saeed Sheikh mentioned that the events that took place during the span of eighty-eight hours revived the spirit of "Pakistaniyat" around the world. He highlighted the national responsibility to demonstrate unity, setting aside all differences, for the security and development of the beloved homeland. The Ambassador also noted that peace efforts in the US-Iran conflict reflect Pakistan's positive and illustrious diplomatic history and traditions, and underscored Pakistan's significant role in global and regional peace.
