Islamabad: Former Permanent Representative of Pakistan to the United Nations, Ambassador Sardar Masood Khan, says Pakistan's resolute response during last year's Indian aggression marked a defining moment in the country's history.
According to Radio Pakistan, Ambassador Khan addressed a gathering at the National University of Sciences and Technology in Islamabad, where he paid tribute to the Armed Forces of Pakistan for their precise, proportionate, and decisive response to Indian aggression. He emphasized that the actions taken by Pakistan during the conflict were crucial in defending the nation's sovereignty, territorial integrity, and political independence against external threats.
Recalling the events of May 6 last year, Ambassador Khan highlighted the significance of Pakistan's retaliation, describing it as a proud moment for the nation. He noted that Pakistan achieved success not only on the battlefield but also in the realms of information and diplomacy. The effective facilitation of sensitive engagements between major powers, according to him, has resulted in Pakistan gaining unprecedented trust and recognition on the global stage.
While celebrating these achievements, Ambassador Khan also stressed the importance of continued vigilance in light of persistent regional threats. He encouraged the youth to prepare themselves for leadership roles to ensure the country's future security and stability.
